Terms of service

This is the agreement between you and Roya. It is short on purpose. Our data policy sits alongside it and describes in plain terms what we actually do with your material.
Your material sits in a space no other client can reach. The separation is enforced by the database itself, not by our code remembering to. Automated tests prove it on every build.
You decide what we hold. Nothing is taken automatically. You can remove any file yourself, at any time, from the documents screen, and it goes from our storage as well as from the list.
Your material is not used to train AI models.
Where your material is handled is written down. Every company that touches it, and the country it processes in, is listed on our data policy, and we update that page before a new one starts.
1Who we are
Roya is a decision support business operated by Hussam Banuwas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, providing an AI assisted platform at www.roya.solutions (the "Service").
2Acceptance
By creating an account, joining an organisation through an invite link, or using the Service, you agree to these terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the organisation you represent, and you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3The Service
The Service provides research, analysis, interactive sessions, and decision support work produced with the help of artificial intelligence.
The Service is decision support. It is not legal, financial, audit, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional adviser. Decisions and their outcomes remain yours. Where our work rests on an assumption or has a gap, we label it.
4Accounts and organisations
Accounts are personal. Your organisation's material is shared with the members of your organisation, and you are responsible for who you invite. Keep your sign in method secure.
5Your material
You keep all rights to the data, documents and information you upload or provide, including what you tell us in intake and in live sessions ("your material").
You grant Roya a non exclusive licence to host, process and analyse your material in order to provide the Service and to create the anonymised insights described in section 6. This licence covers material you provided before you accepted these terms as well as material you provide afterwards.
You are responsible for having the right to share what you upload.
6Anonymised insights
You agree that Roya may create, keep and use anonymised insights derived from use of the Service. These are benchmarks, statistics, indices, models and methodological know how.
They must not identify you, your organisation, or any individual, either directly or by reasonable inference. They must not disclose your confidential information. Where they rest on your figures, those figures may appear only in an aggregated or irreversibly transformed form that cannot be reconstructed or traced back to you.
Anonymised insights that meet those conditions are Roya's property and remain so after your account closes. This is how the work gets sharper over time, and we would rather tell you plainly than have you discover it later.
7How long we keep it
You can remove any file you uploaded yourself, at any time, from the documents screen, and it goes from our storage as well as from the list.
We delete or irreversibly anonymise your material within 24 months of your organisation's last activity, or within 30 days of a verified deletion request, unless the law requires us to keep it.
A deletion request covers the recording and the transcript of your live sessions held by the voice provider that runs them. We can remove that content from their systems at any time, and we do it as part of the request.
Deletion does not affect the anonymised insights described in section 6, which by then cannot be traced back to you.
8Personal data
Personal data is handled as described in our data policy, and we handle it in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations.
Live voice sessions run only after you give consent on the consent screen, and you can stop a session at any point. The voice provider that runs those sessions holds the recording and the transcript inside our account with model training switched off, so your session is not used to train their AI models, and we do not train models on your material either. What we do keep is described in section 6.
Transcripts and deliverables are kept as described in section 7, we can delete the session content held by the voice provider at any time, including whenever you ask, and audio is used internally only.
9Confidentiality
We treat your material as confidential. We do not share it outside Roya and the companies that operate the Service on our behalf, each bound by confidentiality and data processing terms. Our data policy lists those companies and where they process data.
10Acceptable use
No unlawful use. No attempts to reach another organisation's material. No reverse engineering of the Service. Do not present Roya's work to a third party as your own professional advice.
11Liability
The Service is provided as is during this early access period.
To the maximum extent the law allows, Roya's total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Saudi law.
12Changes, ending, and the law that applies
We may update these terms, with notice on this page and a flag inside the product for a material change. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which text is current.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 6, 7, 9 and 11 continue to apply after you do.
We may transfer these terms, and the rights and obligations in them, to a Roya company once it is registered. We will note the change on this page.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes go to the competent courts or tribunal in Riyadh.
